Dr Carmen Briner is a General Practitioner with a special interest in women’s health, menstrual health, and adolescent care. She holds an MBChB from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master of Public Health.
With a background in emergency medicine and public health, Dr Briner brings a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to patient care. Her work focuses on supporting women and girls through key hormonal stages including puberty, menstrual disorders, and perimenopause, with an emphasis on education, prevention, and body literacy.
She has a particular interest in the assessment and management of menstrual concerns, including heavy or irregular periods, painful cycles, and hormonal symptoms. She works closely with patients to provide clear explanations, appropriate investigations, and individualised treatment plans tailored to each stage of life.
